For the best results, you should also mix the leveler product in clean water. This will allow it to have a more even viscosity, making it easier to spread. Additionally, it will help it to flow properly. As long as you are using the proper dilution ratio, you should not run into any problems. Ideally, you should also use a good quality electric mixer.

 

Use Paint Roller When Applying Primer

Next, you will want to apply a primer. A primer is a substance that acts as a bonding agent for the self-leveling underlayment. Typically, you will see a label on the primer, stating how to apply it. The primer will also retain moisture within the product. This is especially important if you are installing the product over a substrate that has been prone to mold or mildew.
